Golden Gifts

December 15, 2017

It can be so challenging to find that perfect something to let our people know how loved and seen they are. Especially when we care about the planet, and we also happen to have good taste. Here are a few things that are cool, thoughtful, and useful. Happy holidays, lovelies!

Bee's Wrap is a reusable alternative to plastic wrap, made of washable organic cotton coated in sustainably sourced beeswax. This is so handy to have around.

Infused Booze is super easy. The bottle you give will make all the difference here. These are cute & reusable. You can keep a few of the glass bottles for yourself, and gift a few. I like to infuse medjool dates, jalapeños, buddha's hand citrus, roasted pineapple or hibiscus in mescal.

Terrarium Kits from Artemisia are so sweet for plant lovers. They also have rad crystals, and one can never have too many rad crystals.

These super easy dark chocolate truffles or these even easier ones (which are vegan).

These a-ma-zing apple cider caramels. Lordy, they are delicious. Be sure to use fancy salt.

DIY leather trivet or coasters

Go to a leather supply shop, find a piece of thick, inflexible scrap leather, cut it into a cool shape (or a simple square or circle) with an x-acto knife. You can cut a pattern into it if you want.

My powder facial cleanser recipe

1 cup of chickpea flour

1 cup rice bran

1 tsp any of the following powders:

nutmeg, triphala, rose petals, lavender flowers, licorice root, orange or lemon peel, cardamom,  cacao, or pumpkin pie spice if you want to easy it up a notch. Things not to add: cinnamon (ouch, spicy), turmeric (stains skin yellow), ginger (ouch, spicy).

Directions- mix everything and put in a cute bottle.
